This policy explains how Puredent (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use puredent.co and related pages. We aim to meet high standards, including practices aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), because they provide a strong baseline for transparency and individual rights.
Who we are
Puredent operates this public website about our oral-care products and content. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at customercare@puredent.co with the subject line “Privacy request”.
What data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may process: technical and usage data (pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP where available to analytics tools, device and browser type, timestamps, performance metrics such as web vitals); identifiers our first-party analytics use to group events (for example a random visitor or session id stored in your browser); interaction events you trigger (for example CTA clicks, locale changes, scroll milestones, time on page); and, if you contact us or subscribe to a list, the information you submit (such as name, email, and message content).
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies where needed to run the site and, only with your prior consent through our cookie banner, for analytics and measurement (including third-party analytics). Essential operations may rely on strictly necessary storage; analytics and similar non-essential tools are off by default until you opt in. You can change your mind later using “Cookie settings” in the site footer, which clears your choice so the banner can appear again.
Why we use your data (purposes)
We process data to: operate and secure the website; understand aggregate product and content performance; improve UX and funnels; measure marketing effectiveness at an aggregated level; respond to inquiries; and comply with law. We do not sell your personal data.
Lawful bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: consent for non-essential analytics and similar optional processing controlled by the cookie banner; legitimate interests for website security, fraud prevention, and limited aggregated analytics where permitted and balanced against your rights; and contract steps or legitimate interests for handling enquiries you initiate. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Processors and international transfers
We use reputable service providers as processors, including: Supabase (database and related infrastructure for stored events and content); PostHog EU region (product analytics when you have opted in); Vercel (hosting and, if enabled after consent, Vercel Web Analytics); and email providers such as Resend where we send operational or notification messages. Some providers may process data outside your country; where required we use appropriate safeguards (such as EU hosting choices for analytics and standard contractual clauses where applicable). Sub-processors may change; material updates will be reflected in this policy over time.
Retention
We keep enquiry and subscription data only as long as needed for the purpose collected and legal obligations. Analytics events in our database are retained according to operational needs and cost unless we delete or aggregate them earlier. Third-party dashboards (for example PostHog) apply their own retention settings configured in those accounts.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to: access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to certain processing (including profiling in some cases). You may withdraw consent for optional analytics via the cookie banner or footer link. EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
Children
Our site is not directed at children to collect data beyond typical website analytics. If you believe a child has provided personal data inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Updates
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or technical changes. The “last updated” notion is tied to site publication; material changes will be described here when feasible.
